WARN® High Strength Axles

Warn Industries’philosophy is simple: build axles tougher than the rocks they crawl over. You’ll find 4340 chrome/nickel aircraft alloy forms the heart of our axle products. It has far better fatigue and strength characteristics than the mild steel used in most other axles. During our proprietary forging process, every axle is splined by CNC machining and then heat treated for maximum strength. This gives the WARN axles a yield strength of 230,000 psi.

WARN axles are machined to accept a full-circle retaining ring which reduces the possibility of a U-joint cap lipping out,a leading cause of u-joint failure. They also allow the owners of early Dana 30 front axles with 260x U-joints to upgrade to the more robust 297x U-joint. WARN axle shafts have proven more robust than stock axles and will normally survive a u-joint failure. They are warrantied for the life of the original owner against all manufacturer’s defects. However, because of individual driving styles,WARN will not warranty damaged axles yokes that were the result of a U-joint failure.
